About
The Domaine Jayer-Gilles covers 11 hectares on the Hautes Côtes, between Beaune and Nuits-Saint-Georges. The estate produces a range of wines including Bourgogne Aligoté, Côte de Nuits-Villages, Nuits-Saint-Georges Villages and Premier Cru, and Echezaux Grand Cru.
The wines are produced exclusively from the estate’s vines. The grapes are hand-picked, vinified in the Bourgogne tradition, aged and sold by and from the estate.
In 2017, André Hoffman joined the estate’s winemaker Gilles Jayer, who took it over from his parents in 1996. Keen to ensure the future of the estate, André and Gilles have brought in a young Bourgogne winemaker, Alexandre Vernet as manager-winemaker.
