Excavations of the Gallo-Roman settlement have revealed important remains: dwellings, public buildings, streets lined with shops and workshops and, above all, a remarkable cult centre consisting of a large sanctuary and a temple dedicated to Mithras. This agglomeration was founded in the 1st century A.D. by the Aedui, then by the Aedui. AEC by the Aedui and then Romanised. Its occupation continued until the beginning of the 5th century.
